We are currently seeking skilled and team-oriented applicants for the following position: Enrollment Communications Coordinator-Admissions.

 

The office of Enrollment Services at Eastern Washington University invites applications for Enrollment Communications Coordinator to support EWU’s Enrollment Communications. The Enrollment Communications team at EWU stives to effectively communicate the unique value of EWU in a way that resonates with the goals and aspirations of potential students. By providing students with relevant, compelling information, Enrollment Communications empowers them to make well-informed decisions about their future college and career plans.

 

The Enrollment Communications Coordinator reports to the Enrollment Marketing Manager, and will play a critical role in Eastern Washington University’s success by developing and implementing targeted communication strategies that attract and nurture prospective students, support enrollment goals and enhance the university’s overall brand reputation. The primary focus of this position is to promote and support EWU’s undergraduate admissions office and undergraduate onboarding initiatives by developing and implementing effective communication strategies. The position is responsible for crafting engaging content, managing communication campaigns, collaborating with multiple teams, and assisting in events and activities.

 

A successful candidate for this position should be passionate about helping people and fulfilling their needs in the moment, be able to maintain detailed and up-to-date understanding of assigned programs and responsibilities, demonstrate a positive attitude toward work assignments, and work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

The salary for this position is $40,019 (minimum) up to $48,027. Where the hired candidate will begin within this range is dependent on education, experience, and skills. In addition to salary, the university offers a comprehensive benefits package including health insurance, life and disability insurance and retirement. In addition, EWU offers generous vacation and sick leave accruals, 12 paid holidays per year and fringe benefits, such as tuition waiver for employees and eligible family members, discounted EWU sports tickets, full access to our campus workout facilities at a minimum fee and free transportation through STA buses. Required Qualifications

Demonstrated commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion

Bachelor’s degree

One or more years of communication or marketing experience

Strong project management skills

Strong copywriting and copyediting skills

Ability to prioritize and communicate across multiple levels of the business

Excellent interpersonal communication skills to effectively work within a diverse community, to establish and maintain good working relationships with alumni, faculty, staff, students, and the public, and to express ideas clearly and concisely

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications including Excel, Word, and Outlook (or familiarity with similar products)

Excellent problem resolution skills

Excellent attention to detail

 

Preferred Qualifications

Bilingual Ability: Spanish

Knowledge about Eastern Washington University

Experience with graphic design or use of Adobe and Indesign

Experience with CRM systems or other communication systems
